Our Work
by Michael Kelly
Parents are teachers
we have so much to give
A present of experience
A life that we have lived
Direction is to pick a path
A decision to be made
To walk along as we learn
Willing, loving
Teaching to give, to save

Children want to learn
the March of time proceeds
Words of knowledge yearn
Knowledge that should burn
This we have to give
As sure as the risen Sun
Because of all that we have done
We want to teach our young
To live

Music & Dance

Chorus
Choral music is a vital part of our community and of our world. There is nothing more vital, or more impactful than singing together, especially when young people raise their voices in song. If we all took the time to listen more than we speak, if we lead by example, with kindness, and work together as a team, with every member feeling valued, what a different world we would have. These values are especially important to the children we serve, our mission is fostered in every rehearsal at the Choir rehearsal for our Children and Youth. Our mission is to help young people to find their voice. And then, make the world a better place in our own, unique, and vital way.
Vocal Training
Our voice training Program accept students from 5 years old to adults. Young beginners (5 years old) are evaluated for readiness. Our voice classes include vocal warmups, ear training exercises, and vocal repertoire from your favorite artists to classical arias. Students will learn how to breathe properly, how to increase their range, how to project their voice and enunciate, how to use proper pitch, and stage presence. Students have several optional performance opportunities throughout the year, and they will have their voice coach to rehearse with them and play for them on the recitals.
PIANO
Starting from the first piano lesson, we customize a personal program for each student based on one’s developmental stage, unique abilities, individual learning styles, and musical goals. Students have a choice in duration of their weekly classes based on teacher’s recommendation and individual personal needs. Students can choose between 30-min., and 60-min. individual weekly classes. Each class contains elements of music theory, piano technique, ear-training, piano solo, and piano ensemble performance. Our piano students play the pieces they love. Our students are given numerous opportunities to perform throughout the year.

Oratorical Expression

Theatre
Our Theatre students will have multiple chances to collaborate individually with our teachers in both theatre and music on acting, vocal performance, and movement. Our program offers participants of all backgrounds and experience levels an opportunity to engage in their craft, both on stage and off. Performance opportunities include musical theatre, a variety of monologues and scenes, pop/rock songs, spiritual, gospel, hip-hop that includes original and devised work, and afully produced musicals at the end of the year.
